Great Storm of 1888 strikes Boston.

The two-day storm causes numerous shipwrecks in Boston Harbor and Massachusetts Bay. In Hull, Joshua James, a 62-year-old captain and boat-keeper for the Massachusetts Humane Society and his all-volunteer crew rescue 29 people from five ships, working all night in the rain, wind and cold.
